Description
The Ontario Learning Development Foundation (OLDF) is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Web & Digital Publications Coordinator to support the development, maintenance, and management of OLDF’s digital platforms and online publications.
OLDF is a registered Canadian charity committed to transforming communities through integrated educational and community-response empowerment initiatives for children, youth, newcomers, seniors, and families. Our programs promote education, leadership, inclusion, digital engagement, and community development.
This position is ideal for an individual with strong WordPress, digital publishing, and content management skills who is interested in supporting community-based media, online communications, and youth-focused initiatives.
Role Summary
The Web & Digital Publications Coordinator will support the maintenance and organization of OLDF websites, digital publications, and online magazine editions.
The successful candidate will work across multiple publications and digital projects while helping improve website functionality, content organization, online engagement, and publication scheduling.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain and update OLDF websites using WordPress
- Clean up and improve website layout, organization, formatting, and user experience
- Publish, format, and schedule articles and content in advance using WordPress
- Upload and manage online magazine editions and digital publications
- Support the development and maintenance of multiple online publications and project pages
- Assist with website optimization, navigation improvements, and SEO implementation
- Coordinate content migration, updates, and archive organization
- Ensure consistency in branding, formatting, and visual presentation across digital platforms
- Support social media integration and digital engagement initiatives
- Troubleshoot minor website issues and coordinate updates when required
- Work collaboratively with OLDF staff, volunteers, writers, and project teams
- Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and publication timelines
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with WordPress websites and content management systems
- Ability to independently publish, format, and schedule online articles and digital content
- Experience managing or supporting online publications, blogs, newsletters, or e-magazines
- Proficiency in:
- WordPress
- HTML/CSS
- SEO best practices
- Basic web design and website management
- Experience using graphic design tools such as:
- Canva
- Adobe Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Or similar platforms
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, creative, adaptable, and willing to learn
- Experience with digital storytelling, e-zines, or online magazines is considered a strong asset
Employment Details
- Number of Positions: 3
- Rate of Pay: $17.80/hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Contract Length: 9 weeks
- Employment Start Date: May 25, 2026
- Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid
Eligibility Requirements
This position is funded through the Government of Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
