Introduction:
OLDF is looking for recent graduates or students to join our Human Resources team. You will provide experience primarily in Recruitment, Selection, Administration, Payroll and Training and Development
Ontario Learning Development Foundation (OLDF) is a registered charity in Canada that perform training and educational services to youths, children, new immigrants and seniors. We are a non-profit organization with a mission to To transform our communities through integrated educational and community-response empowerment initiatives for children, youth, new immigrants and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with virtual recruitment activities and processes such as reviewing/assessing resumes, coordinating online interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Coordinate interview schedules
- Assist with the on-boarding of new employees including the preparation of new hire documents and training new hires using our HRMIS systems
- Archiving Human Resources data and organizing the storage data
- Create and maintain both digital and physical employee files
- Assist with building external relations, including maintain contact with potential candidates
- Maintain files of prospective candidates for employment
- Assist with the performance management process
- Create correspondence and reports and provide administrative support to the HR Department.
- Coordinate meetings, book virtual meetings and prepare sufficient material
- Assist with the administration of various HR databases and reports;
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or have recently graduated in a relevant post-secondary program focusing on Human Resources.
- Strongly understanding and working knowledge of employment legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and best practices an asset
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (including MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point,) and the Internet
- High attention to detail and data accuracy with strict adherence to policies and handling of confidential information
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work well independently
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Be a quick learner and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Time Commitment
- Flexible hours, approx. 35 hours/week
- Must be available for a 2-month contract
- Number of positions - 2
- Salary: $17.20 per hour
Location
- Possibility of travelling to our Summer Campsite in Brampton
Since this position is funded by Canada Summer Job grants, all applicants must be youths (citizens, PRs, or conventional refugees) between 15 and 30 years of age to qualify.
