Description
The Ontario Learning Development Foundation Inc. (OLDF) is seeking a creative and experienced Curriculum Developer to design two key learning modules for our Youth Engagement Program (YEG):
- A Social Media and Digital Skills Course, and
- An Essential Skills Training Module focused on communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and professionalism.
This short-term contract is ideal for someone with expertise in instructional design, digital media, and youth-focused education. Experience with Moodle or other learning management systems is a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a modular, outcomes-based curriculum for:
- Social Media & Digital Skills, including:
- Part 1: Social media marketing, advertising fundamentals, professional branding, and strategies
- Part 2: Content planning and analytics tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Part 3: Visual content creation using Canva, Adobe Spark, or Sway
- Part 4: Creating social media guidelines and a digital portfolio
- Essential Skills, including modules on communication, teamwork, cultural competence, and problem-solving
- Create lesson plans, leader guides, participant guides/worksheets, presentation materials, and for youth aged 13–30 from diverse backgrounds
- Build learning objectives, assessments, and evaluation tools for each module
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure content aligns with program goals and participant needs.
- Format and upload curriculum to Moodle or similar LMS, ensuring ease of access and engagement
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum or instructional design
- Strong background in social media strategy, youth education, or digital communications
- Familiarity with inclusive, youth-centered, and equity-informed teaching approaches
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- Experience using Moodle or similar platforms is considered a strong asset
Compensation
$25.00 - $25.00 per hour
